China, the world's biggest energy consumer, imported 1,37 million tons of liquefied natural gas in September, up 20 percent compared to a year earlier, customs data showed.
China's cumulative imports for the period from January to September reached 10.45 million tons, up 22.2% on year.
The country imported 1,1 million tons of liquefied natural gas in August.
